Larry served on the
river boats anchored just outside Dong Tam, 11/68 - 9/69. He has
graciously allowed me to share some of his stories with you. In the PS to
one of his emails he stated:
The
ammo dump blew up on my 21st birthday, 3/26/69. A week or so after that I spent
a few days wandering around Dong Tam surveying the damage. I stole the cardboard
lady that stood outside the Army PX store and partied with her in a 9th Infantry
EM club.
