Above the fence is a chinook (seen better in the following picture) moving something.  Also, please notice our lovely paved walkway.  When I first got there, it was just some PSP (metal sometimes used for runways).  One day, barefooted, I just wanted to run over to our office.  I ended up with blisters on the bottom on my feet.  So, I was pretty happy when they gave us an actual paved walkway.  Funny how something so expected stateside was a real luxury in the Nam.
